‘Highly cited researchers’ list names UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy faculty members Leaf Huang and Bryan Roth

UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy Professor Leaf Huang, Ph.D., and Bryan Roth, M.D., Ph.D., have been named as Clarivate’s Highly Cited Researchers for 2022. The list recognizes researchers across the globe who demonstrated significant influence in their chosen field or fields over the last decade. Huang, a Fred Eshelman Distinguished Professor in the Division of Pharmacoengineering and Molecular Pharmaceutics, has focused his research in the area of gene therapy and targeted drug delivery. UNC Chapel-Hill pharmacy students chosen to present research at ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting

A select group of UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy students are preparing to present their research at this year’s American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP) Midyear Clinical Meeting.   Forty-seven student-led research projects from the school of pharmacy were chosen for poster presentations at the Midyear meeting in Las Vegas. UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy professors conduct research into online chemotherapy medication access

Professors Sachiko Ozawa, Ph.D., M.H.S and Benyam Muluneh,  PharmD., BCOP, CPP at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy have published research into the online availability of chemotherapy medication. Their research details the risks patients may face when purchasing their medication online and strategies they can use to keep themselves safe. Two posters presented by UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy professors, Suzie Harris and Jackie Zeeman were recognized as Top 5 selections for the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy’s Best Poster Award for the Social and Administration Section. UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy presents new health and wellness website for teens

A new website (iuveo.org) designed by and for teens has just launched, allowing teenagers and their peers to receive immediate health and wellness tips. “Information for the Evolving Teenager,” or IUVEO, was created to share information and resources about a variety of relevant medical conditions and situations that teenagers may experience at this stage in their lives. With easy to navigate pages dedicated to asthma, ADHD, vaping/smoking, diabetes, depression, and more, some  pages also contain phone numbers for immediate assistance.
