Mollie Scott, PharmD finds joy in mentorships, partnerships as she advances health care in NC

  Mollie Scott, Pharm.D. remembers the moment she was admitted to the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy in 1989. She was working as a pharmacy intern at then Glenwood Village Pharmacy in Raleigh, N.C., when she received a phone call from her mother in Asheville, N.C., letting her know her acceptance letter had arrived in the mail. Faculty receive national recognition for excellence in scholarship in experiential education from American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy

Faculty from the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy are recipients of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy’s (AACP) 2022 Award of Excellence in Scholarship in Experiential Education. The award recognizes Macary Weck Marciniak, Pharm.D., Jacqui McLaughlin, Ph.D., and Nicole R. Pinelli, Pharm.D., MS., for their publication, “Leveraging an Implementation Fidelity Framework to Assess Quality in Experiential Education.” Colleague Laura A. New Department Expands UNC, MAHEC Partnership to Improve Health in WNC

The Mountain Area Health Education Center (MAHEC) has announced the formation of a new department of pharmacotherapy at its UNC Health Sciences at MAHEC campus. The department will be chaired by Mollie Ashe Scott, PharmD, regional associate dean for UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy incoming Ph.D. student Alyssa Holden is a recipient of the National Science Foundation’s Graduate Research Fellowship (NSF GRFP). The fellowship recognizes outstanding graduate students in STEM disciplines who are pursuing research-based graduate degrees, according to the organization’s website.
