Rho Chi Honor Society Announces New UNC Inductees
February 12, 2015Twenty-eight doctor of pharmacy students at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy have been accepted into the Rho Chi national academic honor society in pharmacy. Call, Christensen Place Third in ASHP Clinical Skills Competition
December 16, 2014The morning of Saturday, December 6, a team of two fourth-year UNC pharmacy students were given a sheet of paper with a list of symptoms and a medical history for an imaginary patient. The two students, Rebecca Call and Erin Christensen were in Anaheim, California representing the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy for the 2014 ASHP Clinical Skills Competition. The patient had bacterial meningitis, and it was the team’s job to identify and decide how to best treat the problem in two hours. 2014 APhA-ASP Recap: CAPS Takes Chapter of the Year, More
April 10, 2014More than forty students from the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy attended the 2014 APhA Annual Meeting held March 27–31 in Orlando, Florida. The group included fourteen students from the School’s Asheville campus. The Carolina Association of Pharmacy Students received the 2012–2013 APhA-ASP Chapter of the Year Award. CAPS is the School’s chapter of the American Pharmacists Association Academy of Student Pharmacists. The award is the highest honor an APhA-ASP chapter can receive. The White Coat Ceremony marks the students’ transition into the final year of the PharmD program and is designed to commemorate the transition from the classroom to the Pharmacy profession.
