UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy and NC A&T partner to establish early assurance program

The UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy, the No.1 pharmacy school in the country, and North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (NC A&T) have established an Early Assurance Program (EAP). Scholarship for NCCU students and alumni increases access to M.P.S. program

The UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy, supported by the Burroughs Wellcome Fund, will be providing scholarships for qualified current and former North Carolina Central University (NCCU) students to enroll in the school’s Master of Professional Science in Regulatory Science (M.P.S.) program.   “The scholarship enables us to offer opportunities to NCCU students and alumni who otherwise may not have been able to attend the M.P.S. in Regulatory Science program,” said Patricia Termini, director of the M.P.S. in Regulatory Science program and associate professor in the Division of Pharmacotherapy and Experimental Therapeutics. “My hope is that these scholarships will help increase … Read more


Residency program expands to Wilmington

As part of the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy’s Postgraduate Year One (PGY1) Community-Based Pharmacy Residency Program expansion, the Cape Fear Clinic (CFC) in Wilmington, North Carolina will soon be home for a new resident.  This expansion is focused on reaching Eastern North Carolina in rural and underserved areas. Although Wilmington doesn’t come to mind when thinking of rural areas, CFC focuses on an underserved population of low-income, uninsured individuals and families, which accounts for 80% of their patients. Student-led patient care impacts underserved communities

UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy students are helping improve health outcomes for underserved members of North Carolina communities through the Student Health Action Coalition (SHAC), which gives students the opportunity to provide care for vulnerable, underinsured, uninsured, as well as homeless patients.   SHAC is an award-winning organization that previously won the national Student Community Engaged Service Award from the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP). Faculty receives AACP Emerging Teaching Scholar Award

Assistant Professor Jackie Zeeman, Pharm.D., has received the 2023 American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) Emerging Teaching Scholar Award. Fall 2023 welcomes a new training certificate program

Starting this fall, the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy will offer a Health-System Pharmacy Administration & Leadership Training Program (HSPAL) geared toward those currently working in the pharmacy field.  This new training program is for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to gain important knowledge and skills in health-system pharmacy administration to enhance their current role. The UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy announces new undergraduate minor

Carolina undergraduates now have the opportunity to study pharmaceutical sciences. The UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy will soon be offering a new minor in pharmaceutical sciences and it will be available to all undergraduate students.
