CNDD is a multidisciplinary and collaborative effort with a number of other departments and organizations – both within UNC-Chapel Hill and beyond.

Within UNC-Chapel Hill

UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center (LCCC)

Many faculty at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy have joint memberships in LCCC, one of the leading cancer centers in the nation. As one of forty-one National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer centers, UNC Lineberger brings together some of the top physicians and scientists in the country to investigate and improve the prevention, early detection and treatment of cancer.

The Center for Integrative Chemical Biology and Drug Discovery (CICBDD)

CICBDD brings dedicated medicinal-chemistry expertise to bear on biological targets of therapeutic relevance under investigation by UNC faculty. The center uses medicinal chemistry, assay development, compound profiling, and computational chemistry tools to design, synthesize, and test small molecules against biological targets.

Carolina Center for Exploratory Cheminformatics Research (CCECR)

CCECR uses advanced computational chemistry and molecular modeling tools to support experimental projects, data management, analysis, and experimental design.

Carolina Center of Cancer Nanotechnology Excellence (CCNE)

CCNE is an NCI-funded multidisciplinary collaboration among a range of disciplines including departments of Pharmacy, Radiation Oncology, Chemistry, Genetics, Radiology, Hematology/Oncology, Microbiology & Immunology and Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center.

UNC Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention (HPDP)

HPDP addresses pressing health problems by collaborating with communities to conduct research, provide training, and translate research findings into policy and practice. HPDP seeks to reduce health disparities through an emphasis on community-engaged research. HPDP is 1 of 26 CDC Prevention Research Centers (PRC) that aim to understand and address chronic diseases at the community level.

Beyond UNC-Chapel Hill

Center for Drug Delivery and Nanomedicine, University of Nebraska Medical Center (CDDN)

CDDN unifies existing diverse technical and scientific expertise in biomedical and material science research at the University of Nebraska to create a world-class interdisciplinary drug delivery and nanomedicine program. The CDDN integrates established expertise in drug delivery, gene therapy, neuroscience, pathology, immunology, pharmacology, vaccine therapy, cancer biology, polymer science and nanotechnology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, and Creighton University.
