What’s Up with Medicare in 2024?

Join us for “What’s Up with Medicare in 2024?” This event will provide practical tips for using the Medicare Plan Finder tool and for understanding Medicare coverage options for older adults and adults with disabilities. The session will also help attendees understand changes in the Medicare drug benefit design due to the Inflation Reduction Act and how this will likely impact on DIR fees.
This event will be held Thursday, November 9, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. ET via Zoom

Learning Objectives: At the end of this program, participants will be able to:
1. Summarize the Standard Part D benefit for 2024
2. Explain the pros and cons of enrolling in Original Medicare and stand-alone drug plan vs. a Medicare Advantage Plan
3. Demonstrate how to use the CMS website to find competitive drug plans
4. Describe how provisions in the Inflation Reduction Act will likely impact DIR fees over time
Target Audience: This program is designed for both pharmacists and pharmacist technicians. Faculty, staff, preceptors, post-graduate trainees, and students are also welcome to join.
