Faculty member receives AACP Distinguished Teaching Scholar Award
March 27, 2024Associate Professor Jacqueline (Jacqui) McLaughlin, Ph.D., has been named one of two 2024 American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) Distinguished Teaching Scholars, recognizing her excellence in scholarly teaching and the scholarship of teaching and learning. “AACP is a global leader in pharmacy education, so to be reviewed and recognized as distinguished is a real honor,” she said. This award is in addition to the AACP Emerging Teaching Scholar Award that McLaughlin received in 2017. Monash University students experience pharmacy education in the U.S.
March 20, 2024Five pharmacy students from Monash University in Australia, a PharmAlliance partner, are about to complete their eight-week visiting scholars program with the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy’s Center for Innovative Pharmacy Education and Research (CIPhER). Each visiting scholar is a fourth-year student in Monash’s Bachelor of Pharmacy program. They will receive their master’s after their upcoming fifth-year internship. Monash University students research with CIPhER
July 5, 2023Five pharmacy students from Monash University in Australia, a PharmAlliance partner, recently completed their eight-week visiting scholars program with the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy’s Center for Innovative Pharmacy Education and Research (CIPhER). Each visiting scholar is a fourth-year honor student in Monash’s Master of Pharmacy program. They will complete the master’s course after their upcoming fifth-year internship. McLaughlin Receives AHEC Innovation Grant for Rural Education Research
August 22, 2018The North Carolina Area Health Education Centers awarded an Innovation Grant to Jacqui McLaughlin, Ph.D., for a project investigating challenges associated with student rotations in rural clinical sites. “The primary goal of the project is to define the educational challenges encountered at clinical sites in rural regions and generate potential solutions to address these problems in an effort to increase the number of students rotating to those areas,” said McLaughlin, an assistant professor at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy and the director of the School’s Center for Innovation in Pharmacy Education and Research. McLaughlin Named Director of CIPhER
August 6, 2018Jacqui McLaughlin, Ph.D., an assistant professor at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy, has been named director of the School’s Center for Innovative Pharmacy Education and Research. McLaughlin was appointed to the position after Thomas Angelo, Ed.D., the founding director of CIPhER, retired. Before her promotion, McLaughlin was the director of education research at CIPhER. She is an assistant professor in the Division of Practice Advancement and Clinical Education, and from 2014 to 2017, she served as the director of the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy Office of Strategic Planning and Assessment.
