How to Apply
Thank you for your interest in the Division of Pharmacotherapy and Experimental Therapeutics fellowship programs. See our FAQ page for answers to common questions. Follow the steps below to apply to the drug development and clinical research, pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics, and academic fellowship programs.
Application Deadline: January 1.
How to apply
Electronic submission is strongly preferred. E-mail the documents listed below to fellowships@unc.edu, with the exception of official transcripts. If electronic submission is not possible, you can mail your application materials to:
Fellowship Application – Dr. Dupuis
311 Pharmacy Lane, 3213 Kerr Hall
CB# 7569
Chapel Hill, NC 27599-7569
- A personal statement explaining why you are interested in a UNC fellowship and how an appointment would affect your personal and professional goals.
- A curriculum vitae
- Complete transcripts. Official transcripts are not required for preliminary review of applications. Therefore, you are encouraged to include scanned transcripts with your application email instead of requesting that your institutions mail us original, official copies. You will be notified if we require your official transcripts after your complete application package has been reviewed. All transcripts must be submitted in English.
- Three professional letters of recommendation. Ask your recommenders to e-mail scans of their letters on institutional letterhead to fellowships@unc.edu. If this isn’t possible, letters of recommendation should be mailed to the address listed above.
Informational Interviews
Optional informational interviews with UNC faculty, current fellows, program alumni, and sponsors may be arranged at the ACCP and ASHP Midyear Meetings. Find out more via FAQ.
What’s next?
You will be notified by e-mail when we have received all of your application materials. Following review, you may be invited to interview at UNC and on-site with fellowship sponsors. We will facilitate your travel to Chapel Hill if you are invited to interview. Fellowship interviews begin in early January and typically conclude in March. You will be notified of the final disposition of your application as soon as possible.
