Parking

Parking at the University is limited. There are two, thirty-minute metered spaces available at the School. We recommend that you park in UNC Hospitals’ Dogwood Deck on Manning Drive (marked number one on the map above). It is a ten-minute walk from the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. Head west along Manning Drive toward South Columbia Street. Turn right and head north on South Columbia Street. Beard and Kerr Halls are on the west side of the street (your left as you walk north).

From Beard and Kerr Halls (directions given below)

• From South Road, continue on past Pharmacy Lane
• Turn left onto Pittsboro Street
• From Pittsboro Street, veer left when the road splits, to turn onto Manning Drive
• Turn right on East Drive
• The entrance to Dogwood Deck (Visitor parking) will be on your right

Directions to Beard and Kerr Halls at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy

From Raleigh and Points East Via Interstate 40 and NC 54

• Take 1-40 West to exit #273A.
• Take NC 54 West to Chapel Hill.
• This road becomes South Road as you near UNC campus.
• Drive through campus and cross South Columbia Street.
• Take the first left on Pharmacy Lane.

From Points North Via Interstate 85

• From Durham, take US 15-501 South toward UNC-Chapel Hill approximately ten miles.
• At the NC 54 exit, take Raleigh Road (which becomes South Road) west toward the UNC campus.
• Drive through campus and cross South Columbia Street.
• Take the first left on Pharmacy Lane.

From Greensboro and Points West Via Interstate 40 Exit 266

• Exit I-40 at Exit 266 and go south on NC 86 to Franklin Street and downtown Chapel Hill.
• Continue south across Franklin Street
• At the second light, make a right on Cameron Avenue.
• At the next light, make a left on Pittsboro Street.
• At the next light, make a left on McCauley Street.
• Take the first right on Pharmacy Lane.

School of Pharmacy Visitor and Service Parking Spaces

Eshelman School of Pharmacy employees can request access to three visitor spaces in the W-Lot, behind Beard Hall, and three UNC 2-hour Service Permits. Reservations are required to park in these spaces. Visitor parking is reserved for non-UNC employees and must be School business-related. Service permits are designated for use by departments for employees or individuals executing repairs, attending meetings, or carrying equipment/loading or unloading, which require two hours or less to complete. These permits are not intended for use at or near primary work locations except for loading/unloading purposes.
