Join the UNC Lineberger Cancer Network for “Providing LGBTQ Friendly Care in Oncology” an online webinar led by Patricia Morfeld, RN, BSN, OCN
Clinical Nurse IV at the UNC School of Medicine. This webinar will be held November 2 from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. This webinar will offer free ACPE, ASRT CTR, NCPD/CNE credits.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify resources available for all staff here at UNC Health and Lineberger Cancer Center to support care of LGBTQ patients and caregivers.
- Create conversations with colleagues regarding LGBTQ patients/caregivers with affirming language.
- Recognize the vocabulary preferred by most members of the LGBTQ community, and the fact that not all patients/caregivers will choose to be identified as members of the LGBTQ community regardless of their relationship status.
These courses are intended for medical, radiation, and surgical oncologists, hematologists, advanced practice nurses, registered nurses, physician assistants, radiologic technologists, researchers, pharmacists, trainees, allied health personnel, and others who are interested in care for patients and survivors in North Carolina.
