2023 Summer Writing Group (SWG) Program

The Center for Faculty Excellence (CFE) is pleased to announce its 2023 Summer Writing Group (SWG) Program. This event will kick off Friday, May 5 from 12:00 – 1:30 p.m.
Now celebrating a decade, the SWG brings members from all disciplines and career stages together in small groups to spur writing productivity and foster cross-disciplinary connections. The program begins with an orientation meeting in May that enables faculty members to meet with their assigned groups based on expressed preferences. Groups meet regularly in-person and/or virtually throughout the summer at times that suit them, providing the freedom to structure their activities to best meet their goals.
To better align faculty with groups that match their interest and goals, we are starting with an interest survey, and plan to send more detailed applications to interested faculty in April. To learn more and request an application for the Summer Writing Group Program, faculty can complete the Summer Writing Group Interest Survey. The Summer Writing Group Program Orientation and Kick-Off will be held on May 5 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM. The Summer Writing Group program is one of the most valuable, pan-university programs that the University offers.
