Objectives:
● To showcase select areas of strength across the three schools in a rapidly evolving area
Description: This is a session designed to stimulate greater collaboration in nucleic acid therapeutics, an area that has seen great interest resulting from recent mRNA advancements off the back of the COVID-19 pandemic. One researcher from each school will present their research specifically and, where possible, give some indication of broader nucleic acid research across the school. These talks will run as 3 x 25 min + 5 Q+A segments. Speakers to include Angus Johnston (Monash) on ‘Targeted ‘mRNA Therapeutics’, Julianne Nguyen (UNC) on ‘Zipping along: maximising the therapeutic efficacy of bioderived nucleic acid carriers’ and Zoe Waller (UCL) ‘Targeting alternative nucleic acid structures’.
