This online webinar will be held Friday, October 27, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time via Zoom.
The type and amount of data used to assess various aspects of higher education are expanding rapidly. Educators often wrestle with what to measure, how to measure it, and what to do with data once it’s been collected. Data proliferation has introduced new challenges to determining the extent to which our data are appropriate for a given purpose. This session will provide an overview of contemporary data quality concerns and provide strategies for promoting data quality in education.
Learning Objectives: At the end of this program, participants will be able to:
- Define basic concepts related to data quality
- Identify strategies for determining the extent to which data are appropriate for a given purpose
- Describe next steps for identifying and using resources for promoting data quality
