This online webinar will be held Thursday, November 16, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time via Zoom.
The “Copyright, Open Access, and the Publication Process: What Faculty Authors Need to Know” seminar will provide useful tips and tools for pharmacy researchers to understand their scholarly authorship rights, the details of the publication process and publication copyright issues, and open access publishing options for pharmacy education works. The goal of this seminar is to enable authors to make informed decisions about publishing and sharing their work. The seminar is primarily designed for researchers publishing journal articles, although content is also applicable to other types of scholarship.
Learning Objectives: At the end of this program, participants will be able to:
- 1. Build knowledge of copyright basics as they pertain to scholarly authorship.
2. Raise awareness of open access publishing opportunities and trends, both at UNC-Chapel Hill and beyond.
3. Provide tools and concepts to help authors make informed publication decisions for pharmacy education scholarship.
Target Audience: This program is designed for faculty, staff, preceptors, post-graduate trainees, and students.
