Join CIPhER for “AI-Powered Education: Insights and Applications of ChatGPT in Pharmacy Educational Practices.” This webinar will be held Thursday, March 7, 2024 from 12:00 – 1:30 p.m. via Zoom.

Description: In an era where technology is rapidly transforming every aspect of our lives, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a groundbreaking force, offering unprecedented opportunities for enhancing teaching and learning experiences. Understanding and embracing AI, particularly tools like ChatGPT, is crucial for educators, administrators, and educational institutions aiming to stay ahead in this digital revolution. The integration of AI into educational practices not only opens doors to innovative teaching methods and personalized learning experiences but also prepares both educators and students for a future that is increasingly technology-driven. This seminar will provide an overview of AI’s integration into the educational landscape. Following the overview, the session will feature a panel of pharmacy faculty and students, each sharing their unique experiences and insights on utilizing ChatGPT in their educational practices.

Learning Objectives: At the end of this program, participants will be able to:

  1. Understand the fundamentals and capabilities of AI/ChatGPT in pharmacy education
  2. Explore real-world applications and case studies of successfully implemented AI/ChatGPT use for teaching or administrative use
  3. Develop strategies for incorporating AI tools into their own educational environments
  4. Identify resources and references for additional support

Target Audience: This program is designed for faculty, staff, preceptors, post-graduate trainees, and students.

Registration: For non-UNC affiliates, registration is $15.00. (UNC affiliates are faculty, staff, trainees, students, preceptors, and residents who currently work for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill or support its students.
