Practice Research Talks (PharmAlliance)

• Highlight original practice-relevant research from Speakers: Yogini Jani, Sara Garfield, Jenni Ilomaki, Justin Turner, Delesha Carpenter, Denise Rhoney

Description: This session will highlight original practice-relevant research. Sara Garfield from UCL will give an overview of her current projects including developing a safe discharge medicines management intervention for older people who have family carers, vaccine hesitancy and opioid stewardship. She will also briefly touch on some co-design educational projects that she is involved with. Yogini Jani will provide an overview of her current research program including evaluations of digital systems (use, design, functionality and configuration) to improve medication safety and develop learning health systems. Denise Rhoney will discuss the pivotal role of clinical reasoning in propelling pharmacy practice forward, highlighting considerations in developing clinical reasoning in adult learners and highlighting its potential to enhance patient care and optimising medication therapy.
