Dr. Sandor obtained his PhD in Immunology in 2018 from the University of Colorado- Anschutz Medical Campus. His research focused on using flow cytometry, intravital multiphoton imaging, and RNA sequencing to better understand the mechanisms that are involved in the recruitment and activation of immune cells within inflamed islets during type 1 diabetes. He joined the CCNTP in July 2019 working under Dr. Jenny Ting and Dr. Kristy Ainslie. His current research focuses on using acetylated dextran microparticles to deliver immune activators to intratumoral myeloid cells to promote an inflammatory milieu within the tumor to increase intratumoral T cell activation and tumor clearance in vivo
