Established in 1922, the Rho Chi Pharmacy Honor Society encourages and recognizes excellence in intellectual achievement and advocates critical inquiry in all aspects of pharmacy.
The Rho Chi Xi Chapter in Chapel Hill held its annual induction ceremony at the Carolina Inn on March 9, welcoming 28 second year Pharm.D. students into the prestigious organization. The keynote speaker was Allison Pecha Lim, Pharm.D., vice president and global disease area lead at SpringWorks Therapeutics.
The society works to encourage and recognize intellectual achievement, contribute to the development of intellectual leaders, promote the highest ethical standards and foster collaboration.
“Being part of Rho Chi not only acknowledges my academic achievements but also provides me with a platform to further contribute to the advancement of pharmacy education. It reflects my dedication and enthusiasm for the field, and I deeply appreciate the chance to join such a prestigious organization,” said Priyam Patel, newly inducted Rho Chi Xi Chapter president.
Membership is for those who distinguish themselves by their academic and professional achievements and who aspire to the mission and vision of the society. Rho Chi inducts students whose GPA ranks within the top 20% of their cohort.
