The Telly Awards, now in its 40th year, annually showcases the best work created across video and television, and highlights works from publishers around the world. The Awards receive more than 12,000 entries from all 50 states and five continents, according the organization.

Robinson took home four awards this year for work done on a Ph.D. program video, as well as a Division of Pharmacotherapy and Experimental Therapeutics (DPET) video. On his Ph.D. project, Robinson earned silver in craft-videography/cinematography for non-broadcast, bronze for general-direct marketing for non-broadcast, and bronze for craft-editing for non-broadcast. Evan Davison and Lucas Pruitt also contributed as assistant editors.

For his work on the DPET video, Robinson claimed bronze for general-direct marketing for non-broadcast.

“I am thrilled that we in the MEDIA office continue to produce award-winning work year after year not only for our students, but also for the School and its faculty,” Robinson said. “It is truly an honor to be recognized among the industry’s best and brightest video and film producers once again. I thoroughly enjoyed working on these projects and feel that they will have a positive impact on our outreach and recruitment efforts coupled with the work of the marketing and communications office.”

Joel Floyd, Jr.

Joel Floyd, Jr., earned silver in general education for non-broadcast for his work on an animation titled, “Pathophysiology of GERD and Barrett’s Esophagus.”

Floyd’s animation explores the causes, treatments and progression of gastroesophageal reflux disease. About the project, he said, “I value the opportunity to contribute qualitatively to our students’ educational experience.”

Telly Award entrants are judged by The Telly Awards Judging Council — an industry body of more than 200 leading experts, including advertising agencies, production companies, and major television networks, reflective of the multi-screen industry.
