Teaching of Mental Health Conditions

- Develop an understanding of where our current strengths and areas of development are in the teaching of mental health, in our respective Schools
- Identify a small number (1-3) of focused potential educational projects for collaboration in creating innovative teaching resources
- Create focused action plans to develop those projects further when back at our institutions
Description: In many countries there has been a reported increase in the prevalence of mental health conditions within the general population, and in particular since the Covid-19 pandemic. As healthcare systems continue to struggle under financial constraints there appears to be a lack of resources and facilities to best serve the needs of these often vulnerable patients. In this session participants will discuss how we can better prepare for our students to meet the pharmaceutical needs of patients with mental health conditions, who often are now managing them within a domiciliary setting rather than within the managed care sector.
