CED (formerly The Council for Entrepreneurial Development) was founded in 1984 to identify, enable, and promote high-growth, high-impact companies and accelerate the entrepreneurial culture of the Research Triangle and North Carolina. CED provides education, mentoring, and capital-formation resources to new and existing high-growth entrepreneurs through annual conferences, seminars, workshops, and programs on entrepreneurial management and finance.
The Biotechnology Center is the world’s first government-sponsored organization dedicated to developing the biotechnology industry.
The Biotech Center offers business loans and other business and technology development programs.
Drug Discovery Center of Innovation
The DDCOI’s mission is twofold: 1) to identify cutting-edge opportunities for collaboration in areas of mutual interest, and 2) to provide project management resources to progress discoveries.
The Hamner features an Accelerator for Translational Biosciences, which provides emerging companies with access to a research facility with state-of-the-art equipment, as well as world-class scientific and business development support. The Accelerator is a unique resource for small companies that provides substantial infrastructure to assist their commercialization efforts.
