The Carolina Nanoformulation Workshop (CNW) and the Nanomedicine Drug Delivery Symposium (nanoDDS) jointly hosted a virtual meeting in 2020. The meeting featured 3 days of lectures from distinguished speakers and daily roundtable discussions. The main focus of the workshop was applications of nanomedicine, lipid based nanoparticles (both synthetic and cell derived), as well as advanced in vitro characterization. The topics were presented by 20 speakers from academia and industry followed by 2 days of laboratory with hands on experience on liposomes and exosomes manufacturing, drug loading and characterization. CNW 2018 took place from March 12-16, 2018.

The main focus of the workshop was cargo/carrier selection, polymers for drug delivery, self assembling techniques for continuous flow manufacturing of nanoparticles, and clinical and regulatory considerations. The topics were presented by 18 speakers from academia and industry followed by 2 days of laboratory with hands on experience on nanofluidics and rapid-mixing techniques for nanoparticle manufacturing. CNW 2017 took place from March 13-17, 2017.

The workshop gave a broad overview of nanotechnology and nanomedicine applications in drug delivery and diagnostics, formulation techniques, and clinical applications. The topics were presented by 23 speakers from academia and industry followed by 3 days of laboratory with hands on experience for micelles and solid PLGA particles preparation and characterization. CNW 2016 took place from March 14-18, 2016.
