Jackie Zeeman, PharmD, is a clinical associate professor in the Division of Practice Advancement and Clinical Education (PACE) and associate director in the Office of Organizational Effectiveness, Planning, and Assessment (OE) at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. She received her bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Wake Forest University and her Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. After earning her Pharm.D., Zeeman completed a pharmacy practice residency at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital and the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) College of Pharmacy. She then completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in the Assessment of Student Learning and the Scholarship of Education at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy.

Zeeman is a member of numerous professional pharmacy organizations and actively contributes to the scholarship, teaching, and service missions of the School and University. Her research focuses on the assessment of student learning in informal learning environments, including interprofessional education and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Dr. Zeeman is actively engaged in the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP), having chaired the Institutional Research and Assessment Committee (IRAC) and been appointed to multiple standing committees, including Student Affairs and Professional Affairs.

Zeeman is engaged in the assessment of the professional curriculum and leads the assessment of student learning initiatives within the School to establish continuous quality improvement processes. In the scholarship of education, her primary research interests focus on assessment efforts extending across the student experience, including admissions, orientation programs, curricular and co-curricular experiences, classroom engagement, and experiential learning. She is also engaged in the assessment of student learning in the context of social, behavioral, and professional competency development.
