Scott Wayne Savage, Pharm.D.

Asst. Professor of Clinical Education

Scott W. Savage, Pharm.D., serves as director of pharmacy for UNC Medical Center and is an assistant professor of clinical education within the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy and his masters degree from The Ohio State University, College of Pharmacy. He also completed a two-year Health System Pharmacy Administration residency from The OSU Medical Center.

Since joining UNC in 2008, Savage has had leadership responsibilities including the Oncology Service Line and the UNC Shared Services Center Pharmacy with its myriad of operational support structures. Prior to joining UNC Hospitals in 2008, Savage served in pharmacy leadership and management roles in other academic medical centers and a community hospital.  He is an active member of several national pharmacy organizations and enjoys developing and implementing new approaches to integrating pharmacy services in all facets of patient care.
