Irene Park received her Pharm.D. from the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy at the University of North Carolina in 2012. She completed her residency in ambulatory care with Mission Hospital in conjunction with the Mountain Area Health Education Center in 2012–13. Upon completing her residency, she continued to provide care in Western North Carolina as an outpatient clinical pharmacist with the Anticoagulation Service at Mission Hospital.
Park joined the MAHEC Family Medicine division as a clinical pharmacist and UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy clinical faculty member in 2014. In her current role, she provides a broad range of ambulatory care pharmacy services under a clinical pharmacist practitioner model at two different MAHEC family practices.
