CE: Pharmacy Technicians and Vaccinations: An Advanced Training Program (Asheville, NC or Online)

The Pharmacy Technicians and Vaccinations: An Advanced Training Program is designed to provide the necessary information and requirements as outlined by the PREP act to meet HHS guidelines for initial qualifications of pharmacy technicians to administer vaccines.
This interactive program teaches participants the skills necessary to become a source for vaccine information and administration. The program discusses the expanding role of pharmacy technicians, legal and regulatory requirements for vaccine administration, safety and quality procedures, steps to take in the event of a vaccine emergency and will demonstrate the appropriate immunization administration technique to participants.
There are three components to the certificate training program:
1.5 hour (0.15 CEU) self-study program
3.0 hour (0.3 CEU) live seminar
Hands-on assessment of intramuscular and subcutaneous injection technique
This program will be held Sep 17, 2022 from 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM. It will be held both in person and online. There is a $100.00 fee to attend.
