DPOP Seminar: Ronny Bell, Ph.D., presents, “Addressing Health Disparities through Research and Policy”

Professor, Department of Social Sciences and Health Policy, Division of Public Health Sciences
Wake Forest School of Medicine
Director, Office of Cancer Health Equity
Wake Forest Baptist Comprehensive Cancer Center
Dr. Bell grew up in Robeson County, North Carolina and is an enrolled member of the Lumbee tribe. He received his undergraduate degree in Public Health Nutrition from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his Master’s and PhD in Foods and Nutrition from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He completed a post-doctoral fellowship in Gerontology and received his Master’s in Epidemiology from the Wake Forest School of Medicine. Dr. Bell’s research focused on chronic disease disparities, with an emphasis on rural and underserved populations.
