CIPhER Summer Series for Online Learning
CIPhER is pleased to announce a summer series focused on teaching and learning within a synchronous online classroom environment. Topics are centered on incorporating logistical and operational aspects of preparing and supporting faculty for online learning. CIPhER e-certificates will be provided for individuals who complete all 5 sessions and the corresponding evaluations.
This series is designed for all faculty, preceptors and trainees who have or will teach in a virtual setting. CE is available for the sessions indicated below. To register for all or some of the programs click Here
July 24, 2020, 12:00 – 1:00 pm, Maintaining Student Engagement in a Distance or Virtual Setting (1.0 Hour of CE available)
During this program, participants will review evidence-based practices for student engagement in virtual and distance education. They will engage in discussion with their colleagues about successes and challenges experienced while teaching in a video-connected setting and will explore best practices in teaching that can be leveraged in virtual and distance education. This program will primarily focus on a virtual or distance synchronous classroom environment.
