Bizzell Business of Health Care Pharmacy Lecture Series

The UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy is proud to announce the launch of the Bizzell Business of Health Care Pharmacy Lecture Series, founded by generous Carolina alums W. Robert (Rob) Bizzell BSPHAR, a 1976 graduate of the UNC School of Pharmacy, and his wife Suzanne Bizzell BSP, a 1977 graduate of the UNC School of Public Health.

Together, Rob and Suzanne opened Realo Discount Drug Store and were co-founders of Carolina Home Medical. They have since established multiple retail pharmacy locations throughout eastern North Carolina. Rob and Suzanne decided to endow the Bizzell Business of Health Care Pharmacy Lecture Series to emphasize the importance of pharmacy students to learn the business side of health care.

The 10-week series will be held on Tuesdays from 6-7 p.m. beginning Sept. 7. During the series, you’ll meet pharmacists, industry leaders, and entrepreneurs who have led interesting careers. Boxed dinners will be provided at 5:30 p.m. to those attending in-person at Chapel Hill’s Kerr Hall Room 2001 and Asheville’s Karpen 106 (for events Sept. 7, 14 and 21) and Karpen 011 (for all remaining events). A Zoom link will be provided to virtual participants following registration.
