● Explore student motivations behind academic dishonesty
● Discuss the impact of artificial intelligence (e.g., ChatGPT) on academic dishonesty
● Examine strategies used to reduce breaches of academic integrity
● Identify potential benefits and challenges of utilizing artificial intelligence in the classroom and in research
Description: Academic dishonesty remains a high priority concern within pharmacy education, which has been compounded recently by the rise of artificial intelligence (e.g., ChatGPT). In this session, participants will engage in dialogue and reflect on issues related to academic dishonesty. Participants will explore the motivations behind why some students choose to cheat and what impact this may have on their future within the pharmacy profession. Additionally, participants will explore the benefits and challenges of utilizing artificial intelligence as a tool in the classroom and in research.
