Admission Criteria

Minimum Requirements:

  • A completed bachelor’s degree (based on a four-year curriculum) or its international equivalent from an accredited institution.*
  • A cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better from the bachelor’s degree program or an applicable master’s degree program.*

* Students who do not meet minimum admissions requirements may still be admitted. Admissions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

Preferred:

  • A completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in the life sciences or engineering.
  • Relevant work or research experience

Documents to be submitted:

  • A graduate admission application and application fee.
  • Official transcripts
  • A 500-word statement of purpose that addresses interest in the degree, long-term goals, strengths of academic and professional background, and any additional information that will assist in evaluating application material.
  • Three letters of recommendation from professionals or professors familiar with capabilities and achievements.
  • If bachelor’s degree was earned in a non-English speaking country and the applicant is not a US citizen or permanent resident, scores from an official TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or IELTS (international English Language Testing System).

* Completed applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis and admission decisions will be made within 30 days of application receipt.


Estimated Tuition and Fees

* Tuition and fees are reviewed through an on-campus process, approved by the Board of Trustees and authorized by the Board of Governors. Tuition rates do not become official until the annual budget is passed by the legislature and signed by the Governor.
