Academic Fellow of Education and Learning Innovation
This one-year postgraduate fellowship (with the option of a second year) is designed to prepare individuals with a solid foundation in pharmacy and/or education to begin a teaching career in academia and become a vanguard scholar in education and learning innovation. The fellow will be a member of the Office of the Next in Education, under the direction of Dr. Denise Rhoney and will be tailored to fit the needs of both the Office and the fellow.
The fellow will work with the mentor to develop individualized fellowship goals around the following areas:
- Expand the educational and research missions of the School
- Assist the School in reaching goals and benchmarks outlined in the School’s Strategic Plan
- Develop evidence-based teaching skills through contributions to relevant coursework
- Develop curriculum design, development, assessment, and evaluation skills
- Develop educational scholarship and research skills
- Disseminate co-authored publications and presentations
Approximate distribution of effort:
- 70-80% Development, Assessment, Evaluation, and Dissemination of Education and Learning Innovation
- 10-20% Engagement in Teaching Activities
- 10% Academic Administration and Service as assigned
