Dulcie Lai, Pharm.D., Ph.D., is a research assistant professor in the Division of Pharmacotherapy and Experimental Therapeutics. Her research is focused on modeling SLC35A2-associated epilepsy using human induced pluripotent stem cell (hiPSC) derived neurons, multielectrode array (MEA), and whole cell patch clamp electrophysiology. She also leverages human brain tissue resected from individuals with intractable epilepsy to identify specific cell type(s) harboring SLC35A2 mutations and their impact on the transcriptome using single cell RNA sequencing.
