Taking Care of Your Emotional Health
APhA Request for Help
To meet our nation’s need for rapidly expanded testing for COVID-19 infection, APhA is working with partners who are starting up large testing sites. One of the crucial parts of COVID-19 Training and Testing is in personal evaluation of testing techniques (such as Nasopharyngeal Testing) as well as evaluation of the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The current environment does not permit live training on these evaluation techniques. The APhA needs qualified volunteers to conduct evaluations of learners who will be trained using brief online educational programs. Pharmacy practice organizations and public health departments are working hard to expand screenings, so there is high demand for qualified trainers to conduct these evaluations. If you are skilled and willing, please complete their survey.

The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists needs your help to ask senate leaders to include pharmacist reimbursement in emergency COVID-19 legislation: ASHP, along with other national organizations, submitted a letter to Senate leaders requesting reimbursement for pharmacists be included in their upcoming COVID-19 emergency legislation. Highlighting the need to expand access to medical providers for patients during this current pandemic, the letter requests that the Senate bill include provisions from “The Pharmacy and Medically Underserved Areas Enhancement Act,” which was introduced in the previous Congress. Please contact your members of Congress today to include the Pharmacy and Medically Underserved Areas Enhancement Act language in any emergency COVID-19 response legislation.
