School, Mission Hospital win AACP Crystal APPLE

The UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill has received a prestigious national award recognizing the high quality of an experiential education rotation at Mission Hospital in Asheville, N.C. School Names Preceptors of the Year

The UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill has named the recipients of its 2008 preceptors and Area Health Education Center instructor of the year honors. Jennifer Askew, CPP, manager of outpatient/employee pharmacy services for New Hanover Health Network in Wilmington, has been named a Hospital Pharmacy Preceptor of the Year. Suzie Cala Harris, BCPP, a clinical pharmacy specialist in psychiatry at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill, has been named AHEC Faculty Instructor of the Year. Wilmington pharmacist John Davie Waggett and Gastonia pharmacist Wyn Wheeler Sterling have been named the 2007 Preceptors of the Year by the School of Pharmacy at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The School also named Mollie Ashe Scott the Area Health Education Center Instructor of the Year, which recognizes an outstanding faculty member who has had a positive impact on students’ advanced practice experience.
