The UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy utilizes a holistic admissions process, reviewing all parts of each application submitted. We are looking for future leaders in pharmacy who are well-rounded, have diverse backgrounds, interests, and talents, and are committed to the profession and improving the health of patients. Each applicant’s academic performance, PCAT exam scores, extracurricular involvement, work experiences/shadowing, leadership experience, personal statement, and interview performance are considered, among other factors. Prior pharmacy or health care experience is not required, but is recommended. Demonstration of prior experience in undergraduate or professional research or in other forms of scientific inquiry or innovation is preferred.
