Wendy Cox, Pharm.D., is the Associate Dean for Admissions and Accreditation and a clinical associate professor in the Division of Practice Advancement and Clinical Education at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Cox received her Doctor of Pharmacy from the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. After graduation, she completed a pharmacy practice residency at the Medical University of South Carolina and a primary care specialty residency affiliated with Campbell University at Kaiser Permanente in Cary, NC, and the Southern Regional Area Health Education Center in Fayetteville, NC.

Prior to joining the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy, Cox worked as an AHEC faculty member from 2000 – 2005, serving as the coordinator of pharmacy education at the Northwest AHEC and then as the director of pharmacotherapy services at the Wake AHEC with a clinical practice in ambulatory care. In 2005 she joined the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy as the director of student services and served as the assistant dean for professional education from 2010-2015, the associate dean for curricular and student affairs from 2016-2017, the associate dean for profession education from 2017-2020, and the vice dean for profession education from 2020-2021.

In 2022, she was named associate dean for admissions and accreditation, a role in which she leads PharmD recruitment and admission efforts and oversees the accreditation of the professional program. Cox also teaches in the Leadership and Professional Development course series and various pharmacotherapy courses. Her primary research interests include admissions, curricular design, and teaching and learning methods.
