Courses for Industry Scientists

The UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy makes available several semester-long courses to industry scientists. These are graduate-level courses that provide an opportunity for industry professionals to stay abreast of cutting-edge science in areas such as formulation and drug delivery, nanomedicine, drug metabolism and transport, and pharmacokinetics. The School has a state-of-the-art video teleconferencing facilities and considerable experience in delivering education to students at remote sites in an interactive environment. The courses are taught synchronously to the graduate students and postdoctoral trainees in class and to industry scientists at remote locations. Syllabi of courses that are available to industry scientists are provided below. Please contact Dhiren Thakker (dhiren_thakker@unc.edu) for any inquiry regarding these courses.

MOPH 738: Nanomedicine

Introduction to the interdisciplinary field of nanomedicine.

DPET 855: Pharmacokinetics

Principles of pharmacokinetics systems and techniques.

MOPH 810: Drug Metabolism

Contemporary techniques in drug metabolism, and clinical relevance of metabolic processes in the design and development of safe and efficacious drugs.

MOPH 862: Advanced Pharmaceutics
