Preceptor Resources

AHEC Digital Library

In appreciation for your service as a preceptor, the NC AHEC program and the School of Pharmacy gives you complimentary access to the AHEC Digital Library. This service gives preceptors access to all of the online materials of the UNC Health Sciences Library, including electronic full-text journals and clinical texts as well as databases such as MEDLINE (via PubMed), Lexi-Comp, Cochrane EBM databases, and the Natural Medicines Comprehensive Database.

The AHEC Digital Library also gives preceptors access to a special "pharmacy collection" with drug and disease information, professional development resources, pharmacy management information, and other useful tools for research, clinical practice, and teaching and mentoring students.

Please note that your access will continue for two years from the start of your most recent preceptorship. If at any time you have questions about your AHEC Digital Library membership, please contact your local AHEC librarian or AHEC Digital Library Staff.

Preceptor Today

Preceptor Today is an electronic newsletter created for the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy preceptor community. It is published twice a year, once every semester. Each issue will contain precepting pearls, an event calendar, recent news, an AHEC highlight with preceptor and student profiles, and a feature story.

Please click here to view current and past issues of Preceptor Today.

If you have news or events you would like featured in the next issue, please send an e-mail to preceptor@unc.edu.
