A student wishing to enter the Pharmacy Honors Program must:

1. Be a first-year student in the doctor of pharmacy (PharmD) curriculum.
2. Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale.
3. Apply for admission into the Honors Program.
4. Complete an interview with the Honors Program Committee.

During the fall semester of the first professional year, interested students are invited to participate in the Honors Program seminar.

Applications for admission into the program are due by the end of the second week of classes during the spring semester of the first professional year. The application includes completion of the Honors Application Form, three personal references, and a statement to the Honors Program Committee explaining why the student would like to enter the Honors Program at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. All students must interview with the Honors Committee.
