The Department of Pharmacy at UNC Hospitals is offering fourteen residency positions for the upcoming year:
- Four pharmacy practice residencies

- Eight specialty residencies, including cardiology, critical care, family medicine, hematology/oncology, infectious diseases, pediatrics, primary care and psychiatry.
UNC Hospitals offer a variety of clinical rotations, precepted by many experienced and respected clinicians. The modeling process exposes residents to various examples on how to provide appropriate care to diverse patient populations. Residents’ responsibilities include:
- Seven required rotations: critical care medicine, critical care surgery, drug information, medicine, pediatrics, pharmacy administration, primary care.
- Two months for elective rotations to receive training in their particular areas of interest.

- A one-month research rotation in December, during which each resident must complete a pharmacotherapy project, a medication-use evaluation, and an administrative project. One of these projects must be in publishable form.
