Heart Failure Pharmacotherapy Fellowship

This two-year fellowship provides the applicant with extensive research experience in the area of cardiovascular pharmacotherapy with a special emphasis on heart failure and cardiovascular pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics. A multidisciplinary team approach including medicine, pharmacy, and nursing is applied to research and management of heart failure. Research protocols may include industry-sponsored clinical trials involving angiotensin II receptor blockers, beta blockers, and investigator-initiated projects involving the pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics of these agents. Opportunities in analytical and pharmacokinetic research are also available in addition to required coursework in study design and statistical analysis.
