glycemic control and macrovascular and microvascular
complications and mortality. Evaluate the clinical application
of new information that challenges conventional thinking about
the use of asprin in the primary prevention of cardiovascular
disease in diabetes. Compare and contrast the use of new
drugs for diabetes, saxaglipitin and liraglutide, to traditional
antihyperglycemic drug therapies.

listing of considerations that should be evaluated when
selecting an appropriate antimocrobial regimen for a
given patient. Apply the information that arises from the
considerations in the previous objective in making an
antibiotic selection for a specific patient case. Assess a
patient case for the possible reasons for the lack of
response to a selected regimen of antibiotic therapy.

Target Audience: Pharmacists in community pharmacy, Ambulatory care and long term care practice
Program Goal: This program will provide pharmacists an update on current pharmacotherapy and pharmaceutical care concerns in primary care community/ambulatory care pracitce.
