The University of North Carolina School of Pharmacy in conjunction with the Durham VA Medical Center (DVAMC) is seeking a qualified individual to serve as clinical-track faculty member of the School with a practice site at the Durham VAMC. The position focuses on the development of clinical pharmacy services in a primary care outpatient clinic setting at the Durham VAMC; building and maintaining relationships with physicians, administration, and staff; improving system functions; teaching pharmacy students and pharmacy residents from UNC School of Pharmacy; directing and participating in scholarly activities including collaborative clinical research.
The successful candidate will be a skilled clinician with knowledge of pharmacotherapeutics, and chronic care in the outpatient clinic setting; who can demonstrate excellent interpersonal and written communication skills; who possesses the ability to teach, evaluate learners and be capable of participation and leadership in scholarly endeavors. The applicant should have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited school or college of pharmacy; have completed a residency and/or fellowship program; be licensed (or eligible) in North Carolina and be eligible for faculty appointment to UNC-CH School of Pharmacy.
