Assistant/Associate Professor
Cancer Pharmacogenomics

The UNC School of Pharmacy invites applications for a tenure-track assistant/associate professor. The successful candidate will develop and maintain an externally-funded translational research program, mentor graduate students/postdoctoral fellows, and contribute to the division’s teaching mission. Primary research interests within the Division of Pharmacotherapy and Experimental Therapeutics and an emphasis within its new graduate program, include, but are not limited to, pharmacogenomics, drug resistance, drug metabolism, drug transport, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics. 

The division intends to lead the nation in achieving excellence in innovative translational research, education, and progressive pharmacy practice to optimize drug therapy outcomes. Collaborative research opportunities exist with faculty in the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, the Carolina Center for Genome Sciences, and other programs in the Schools of Medicine, Public Health, Dentistry, and Nursing. These Schools comprise one of the nation’s few comprehensive academic health centers located on a world-class research campus.
