The Division of Medicinal Chemistry and Natural Products and the Division
of Molecular Pharmaceutics will present a seminar by Richard Silverman,
PhD, on Wednesday, April 2. The seminar will be in Kerr Hall, room 2001,
from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.

Hsieh-Wilson is the John Evans Professor of Chemistry in the Chemistry
Department at Northwestern University. His research involves studies
of molecular mechanisms of action, rational design, and syntheses of
potential medicinal agents that act as specific enzyme inhibitors. His
presentation is titled "Design of Selective Neuronal Nitric Oxide Synthase
Inhibitors for the Treatment and Prevention of Neurodegenerative Diseases.
