The Division of Medicinal Chemistry and Natural Products will present a seminar by graduate student Danielle Cook on Wednesday, November 11.

Cook is in Professor David Lawrence's lab. She is interested in investigating living systems by integrating biology and chemistry. She is working on developing new biochemical tools that allows one to investigate cell signaling pathways within live cells and more specifically to look at PKA pathways relating to the mitochondria. Her seminar is titled "Novel High-Throughput Screen Identifies Agents with Specific Toxicity Towards Breast Cancer Stem Cells."

The seminar will be held from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. in Kerr Hall, room 2001. The seminar will also be livestreamed and can be viewed at http://pharmacy.unc.edu/tv.
