The Division of Medicinal Chemistry and Natural Products will present a
seminar by Ashton Cropp, PhD, on Wednesday, September 16.
Pempe is a an assistant professor in the Department of Chemistry and
Biochemistry at the University of Maryland. His research focuses on
combinatorial design of natural products biosynthesis, bioorganic chemistry,
protein engineering, synthetic biology and the evolution of new cellular
function.
The seminar, titled "Technologies for Protein and Metabolic Engineering",
will be held from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. in Kerr Hall, room 2001.
