Directions to the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy

Note: While you can be dropped off on Pharmacy Lane, there is no public parking at the School. We have provided a list of parking options, including several within a ten-minute walk of the School.

From the North

  • Take NC-86 South. This road becomes Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. (also known as Historic Airport Road) to downtown Chapel Hill.
  • Turn right on Cameron Avenue, which is the second light after Franklin Street. You will see the Carolina Inn at the intersection of your turn.
  • Turn immediately left onto Pittsboro Street. Stay in the left lane.
  • Turn immediately left at the next light onto McCauley Street.
  • Turn right onto Pharmacy Lane before the next stop light. If you reach the intersection with Columbia Street, you have gone too far.
    • If you miss the turn onto Pharmacy Lane, you can turn left onto S. Columbia Street. Then turn left at the next light onto Cameron Ave. and turn left immediately back onto Pittsboro Street. Then turn left at the next light onto McCauley Street.

From the South

  • Take U.S. 15-501 North to Chapel Hill. U.S. 15-501 becomes S. Columbia Street at the intersection with N.C. 54.
  • From S. Columbia Street, turn left at the stoplight onto McCauley Street.
  • Turn left onto Pharmacy Lane, before the next light.
    • If you miss the turn onto Pharmacy Lane, turn left at the next light onto Pittsboro Street. Then veer left at the fork onto Manning Drive. Turn left immediately at the light onto S. Columbia Street. Then turn left at the next light onto McCauley Street.

From the East

  • Take I-40 West to exit 273A.
  • Take N.C. 54 West into Chapel Hill.
  • N.C. 54 becomes South Road.
  • Continue on South Road across the intersection with S. Columbia Street.  South Road becomes McCauley Street.
  • After the intersection with S. Columbia Street, turn left onto Pharmacy Lane before you reach the next traffic light (the intersection with Pittsboro Street).
    • If you miss the turn onto Pharmacy Lane, turn left at the next light onto Pittsboro Street. Then veer left at the fork to go onto Manning Drive. Turn left immediately at the light onto S. Columbia Street. Then turn left at the first light onto McCauley Street.

From the West

  • Take N.C. 54 East to Chapel Hill.
  • Exit at Columbia Street/U.S. 15-501 and turn left onto S. Columbia Street.
  • From S. Columbia Street, turn left onto McCauley Street.
  • Turn left onto Pharmacy Lane before the next light.
    • If you miss the turn onto Pharmacy Lane, turn left at the next light onto Pittsboro Street. Then veer left at the fork to go onto Manning Drive. Turn left immediately at the light onto S. Columbia Street. Then turn left at the first light onto McCauley Street.
