The UNC Institute for Pharmacogenomics and Individualized Therapy will
present a seminar by Edwin van den Oord, PhD, on Wednesday, April 23.

Van den Oord is a professor and director of Virginia Commonwealth
University's Center for Biomarker Research and Personalized Medicine.
He also is an associate professor at the Virginia Institute for Psychiatric
and Behavioral Genetics. His research interests include statistical genetics,
psychiatric genetics, interplay genotype-environment, psychometrics, and
data mining.

The seminar is titled "Personalizing Drug Treatment for Individual
Schizophrenic Patients". The presentation will be held from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m.
in Bondurant Hall, room G030.
